I set 2 business goals;
1.To give my web design business a strong online presence which would in turn bring in more new customers.
2. To generate value for my potential and existing customers by sharing resourceful information on website-related matters.
Since the launch, I can attest that launching a website is the easy part ,getting customers through my website has been the taxing part.
So far, I have only focused on marketing my website through an organic reach this includes various social media platforms as well as search engine optimization on Google, Yahoo, and Bing. I use google analytics to keep track on my audience reach and how visitors interact with my website so as to better inform my optimization strategy and so far I can describe my organic reach as slow but steady. Blogging has also proven to be a valuable tool in growing the traffic to my website but I am still patient and keen on getting customers from the traffic the website acquires through its blog section.
That said ,here are 2 tips from my bag of personal strategies that you might want to consider when using your website to grow your business online.
STRATEGY
1.Grow organic first
Growing organic, in this context means adopting strategies that do not cost you money when marketing your website. The logic behind this strategy is that for your website traffic to grow organically, you need to optimize your website content to include the most relevant content based on the keywords that potential customers search for in relation to your business.
Now once your content is well-tuned to drive traffic to your website organically, you have a very high chance of scoring much because your content is on point.
2. Define your niche
Defining the thing that you are particularly well suited at makes it easy for your product or service to target the relevant audience to what you offer.
Through experience, I can attest that the more I have learnt about best practices in web design/web marketing, the more my niche has evolved progressively. What I mean to say is that the more experienced you get at your niche, the more equipped you are to convey it to your potential audience and you should consistently channel the same in the content you broadcast via your website.
Blogging is a great way to achieve this because besides offering educative value to your blog readers, you also demonstrate your grasp on the products or services you offer which in often cases can be reassuring to potential customers that you will have their needs catered for professionally.
